Full Participation - all 7 days:2008 Concert Information The Rhythm Section Workshop with John Clayton, Gerald Clayton and Adam Baron is open to all interested parties, including instrumentalists, vocalists and jazz aficionados. Three two-hour sessions will be presented, March 26-28, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. For those who wish to attend only the Rhythm Section Workshop, the fee schedule is as follows: Rhythm Section Workshop:2008 Rhythm Section Workshop Poster Those participants already registered in the full program need not register again. University Credit: University Credit will be made available to qualified participants through the Outreach College of the University of Hawaii. Only registered participants of the HAWAII CONTRABASS FESTIVAL may apply. Advance registration is recommended. Those who register after March 15 but no later than the first day of the workshop will be assessed a $25 late registration fee. After the first day of the workshop registration for MUS 400 will be closed. Applications and fees for MUS 400 will be collected by HASTA/NSOA. Essay Contest - For registered participants 18 and under: Win a one-year student membership to ISB (International Society of Bassists)! Write an essay 350 words or less on the following topic: TBA Entries may be submitted with registration and payment or up until the close of Day 3 of the workshop (Wednesday, 5:00 p.m.) Winners will be announced at the Participants Concert on Sunday, March 30, 2008. Winning entries will be submitted for publication in Bass World Magazine, the official publication of the International Society of Bassists (publication is not guaranteed). Trunk Storage: It is anticipated that adequate trunk storage space will be available on the workshop premises. However, liability for loss or damage will be the sole responsibility of the owner and not of HASTA/NSOA or Kamehameha Schools.
